FAQs

  • A sports therapist specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of sports-related injuries, focusing on rehabilitation and optimizing physical performance.

  • If you're looking for an expert in sports injury near me, we treat clients in Richmond, South West London.

Easily accessible by public transport with parking available nearby.

  • The goal of the assessment is to understand you and where you’re currently at in line with your goals. What we aim to achieve in the 1.5hrs:

    • Understand the issues you’re having and how it is affecting your everyday life

    • Take measurements through a series of tests to understand how your body is presenting in relation to the issue(s) you’re having

    • Explain and discuss what you’re currently dealing with, your limitations and how the process will unfold to get you to where you want to be

    • Treatment plan explained and coached through exercises to get you started on your journey

By the end of the initial assessment, our aim is to have taught you through our lens to better understand not only what is going on but how we are going to tackle it. When you approach the exercises given, you’ll know why we’re doing what we are doing and how it is going to be completed.

  • This will be dependent on each individual case. Generally speaking, we can’t expect to return to our activities as normal after 1 session when we’ve suffered an injury.

Typically, we’d go through multiple sessions stretched over a period of time to appropriately guide and scale your rehab to suit your individual needs and return to doing what you love as soon as possible.

As different injuries will have varying healing times, and people respond differently to treatment; it’s difficult to specify time frames without context. For progress to be made we need to give you time to do the work, with this I typically see people every 1-4 weeks depending on the case and where they are at in the process.

I do my best to accommodate and be flexible, sometimes people want further guidance and benefit from more frequent sessions than others, everyone is different and I’m always happy to do my best to help with that.

With 1-1 personal training sessions, this will be based more on what you’re looking for and need. I can offer working together multiple times a week all the way to once a month.

  • With my guided and coaching-oriented approach, here is what you can expect:

    • Assessment and continued re-assessments to measure your progress overtime with the work we are doing

    • Your situation and current experiences explained, time to ask me questions to better understand your body and what you love to do

    • A tailored approach to get you back to doing what you want without fear/anxiety with the injury and pain free. The holistic approach will come down to understanding you and your limitations through our assessment.

    • Homework for you to complete to create the changes needed in your body, knowing exactly when and how to do them

Communication with me between sessions, it is important as your coach that I can provide you with the security that when questions pop up in-between sessions, I can help provide clarity and answers during the process. I encourage my clients to do this and I always offer form reviews on exercises to help make sure you’re doing it correctly and to the best of your ability

  • I take a very guidance-based approach with a heavy emphasis on coaching. My role is to provide a safe means of gradually exposing your body to more over time.

This way we can build up the capacity of the body and respect the nervous system as we improve and move forward step by step. It’s methodical and dependent on what you need. Across the board with injury rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and mobility training, we need to have consistency, time, and progressive overload to create meaningful changes in the body.

I take immense pride in teaching as we go, that way you can develop a better sense of your own body and needs that come along with it, the self-efficacy that you will harness can put you in a better position for future situations you may find yourself in.

I love helping people achieve their goals and build self-confidence.
